Rheinfall Foto 1840

One of the erlierst Fotographs of the Rheinfalls in 1840. The shutter speed was so slow, that the fall itself became white. The Original was sold for 20'000 Fr in Basel during the 1980'ies. It is conjectured, that this picture is the first Foto of the Rheinfalls.

Eine der ältesten Fotoaufnahmen vom Rheinfall. Das Bild stammt aus dem Jahre 1840. Der Fall ist weiss, wegen der langen Belichtungszeit. Das Original war um 1980 für 20'000 SFr in Basel verkauft worden. Es wird vermutet, dass dieses Bild die erste Fotoaufnahme des Rheinfalls sein könnte.
